“Grandparents house is where cousins become best friends”
I can’t tell you how close this quote is to me. I was blessed with cousins that are more like siblings; sisters I never had. Most of my childhood memories are of my cousins and I at my Grandma Fern and Great Grandma Elsie’s house. Hours and hours of playing in the yard, only to stop when Grandma would call you in for lunch or dinner. Where my aunt, uncles, parents and cousins would all meet Sunday evening for the best shredded beef tacos, crowding in to fit at the little table in the corner of the kitchen between the stove and the washing machine. What I would give to be seated at that table right now.
So when I was asked to take pictures of theses cousins by their Grandma (Mimi) I was seriously giddy. Yes, it was work. Yes, my legs got a great workout from chasing them around and yes, I worked up a sweat…but honestly, my heart was full. I really had a great time witnessing their friendship and love for each other. “A cousin is a ready made friend for life.” I’m pretty sure from the looks of it, these kids already know this.
