“She looks so pretty with no makeup on, You should hear her talkin’ to her momma on the phone
I love it when she raps to an Eminem song, That’s my girl” – Dylan Scott, My Girl

Vista High graduating class of 2017

Cheerleader, ASB, yearbook Editor, country music fan, world traveler and all around beauty. Miss A, what an amazing lady you are!

From the moment we met and she jumped in my car, I knew this shoot was going to be loads of fun! This girl has an adventurers spirit and let’s just say, I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF OUR TIME TOGETHER! I mean, seriously, look at her! She is proof you don’t need makeup to be beautiful! What a natural beauty. I just can’t say enough wonderful things about her!

Good luck baby girl as you head off to college….California is going to miss your smile! ~ Love Jen

This lovely family, who I adore, were the lucky winners of a Love Jen Photography photo shoot when they were the highest bidders at St. Joseph’s Academy Spring Gala auction last year. Needless to say, I was giddy when I found out who won the session. With the newest addition to their family, sweet little Aila (who was the star of the session), and a beautiful Southern California backdrop, this quickly became one of my favorite shoots!

“Grandparents house is where cousins become best friends”

I can’t tell you how close this quote is to me. I was blessed with cousins that are more like siblings; sisters I never had. Most of my childhood memories are of my cousins and I at my Grandma Fern and Great Grandma Elsie’s house. Hours and hours of playing in the yard, only to stop when Grandma would call you in for lunch or dinner. Where my aunt, uncles, parents and cousins would all meet Sunday evening for the best shredded beef tacos, crowding in to fit at the little table in the corner of the kitchen between the stove and the washing machine. What I would give to be seated at that table right now.

So when I was asked to take pictures of theses cousins by their Grandma (Mimi) I was seriously giddy. Yes, it was work. Yes, my legs got a great workout from chasing them around and yes, I worked up a sweat…but honestly, my heart was full. I really had a great time witnessing their friendship and love for each other. “A cousin is a ready made friend for life.” I’m pretty sure from the looks of it, these kids already know this.
